Traveling to and from Logan Airport

There are several ways to get to Copley House from Logan Airport, each with its own pros and cons depending on your travel arrangements. No matter how you choose to reach us, your check-in destination will be our office at 239 W. Newton Street in Boston. From there you will be directed to your apartment, which may be in one of our other buildings.

TAXI. Picking up a cab at Logan is probably the quickest and easiest way to get to Copley House from the airport. During off-peak hours the fare is usually between $30 and $40 and the ride should take about 20 minutes. Rush hour will add a bit more to both the ride and the fare.

RIDE-HAIL SERVICES. Rules regarding ride-hailing services such as Uber and Lyft going to and from the airport have changed recently but at the moment they are allowed to operate in specific pick-up/drop-off locations. The fare is usually a bit lower than a standard taxi but it is worth checking ahead of time in case there is any surge pricing. For up-to-date information, click here.

CAR. If you've rented a car there are a few different routes you can take. One of the quickest is to go out I-90W and then double-back on I-90E and take the Prudential exit. Stay to the left and you will end up on Huntington Avenue where you will take your first left onto W. Newton Street (the Colonnade Hotel will be on the corner you are turning into). It may not seem like the most intuitive but it is quick and easy and avoids a lot of confusing city traffic (and Boston drivers). Once you arrive at Copley House please notify our office staff immediately if that you have a car so that we can help arrange parking with us or with a nearby garage.

BACK BAY LOGAN EXPRESS. If you are not traveling with a lot of luggage and don't mind a short walk once you get to the neighborhood, one of the best transportation options to and from the airport is the Back Bay Logan Express. And it keeps getting better. The Express takes about 20 minutes and costs only $3 to the airport (it's free from the airport!). It stops at all the terminals. The fare can be paid onboard with a credit card. The shuttle even has its own express lane through security once you arrive at the airport. It leaves the airport every twenty minutes (from 6 AM until 10 PM) and stops at either Back Bay station on Dartmouth Street or in front of the Hynes Convention Center on Boylston Street. Back Bay station is the closer of the two to Copley House and should take less than 10 minutes on foot. For more information, click here.

SUBWAY. Last but not least, there is the subway. Or, as it is referred to locally, the T. This option will involve some switching. An airport shuttle will take you to the Blue Line, which you will take to Government Center where you will pick up the Green Line "E" train toward Heath. Get out at the Prudential stop, from which it is less than a 5-minute walk. For more information, click here.

No matter how you decide to reach us, our staff will be here waiting to meet you. See you soon!
